Emma crawford

Dr Emma Crawford promotes healthy child development in a way that is inextricable from every day life. She is an occupational therapist with over 10 years experience and certification in infant massage with Infant Massage Australia

She supports families to promote wellbeing for their children, starting in the early years with ripple effects across the lifespan. She uses a strengths approach to enrich day-to-day activities for children and families, prioritizing playfulness and meaningful engagement between parents and their children.

Emma has worked in service delivery and service development in early intervention programs, with children who have experienced trauma over her career as an occupational therapist. She also collaborates on university-community partnerships in intercultural settings in disability services and school settings. She is involved in research with mums and babies under 1 year old with a focus on everyday life outcomes. She has also conducted research regarding the practices of peadiatric therapists when working with children. Combining her research and clinical backgrounds with her experiences as a mum, she is able to translate evidence into ideas for everyday life.

Fig & Vine has grown out of Emma’s passion for making a difference, babies toddlers and families, sharing information with groups and online, occupational therapy, seeing the best in people, and creative endeavors.
